A few more days to go until Lam and I are off on our honeymoon adventure. I put together a rough itinerary for our 10 days abroad in Italy. Most days are jam packed with activities, but hopefully some days we will just wander around aimlessly and enjoy being lost together.
I am looking forward to: good food, wine, amazing works of art, nature and most importantly being in love and sharing this experience with the person I adore
Things I am not looking forward to: a 14 hour plane trip (look out ADD!), the hot and humid weather (thunderstorms are in the forecast), and the inevitable jet lag (that I am going to try so hard to avoid!)
Of course I am nervous about leaving North America for the first time, but mostly I am excited. This trip marks a new chapter in my life - a new adventure.
I am mostly prepared.
There are so many things running through my mind right now, a part of my brain is recapping the wedding weekend and the other part is contemplating where my life is taking me.
One thing I do know is that my family is incredibly special to me. They are so welcoming of everyone good that comes into my life. I can only hope that I pass this trait on to my children some day. It makes me feel warm inside to know that I am a part of and around "good" people. I get teary-eyed just thinking about it.
This part of our lives is going to go by so quickly - we really need to savor every moment.

A wedding present from Lam's brother and his wife Lisa (yes, he married a Lisa too!). When we opened it I was laughing so hard I was crying.
My co-people threw us a couple's shower. My mom said she never saw anyone have so much fun at their shower. It was a good time. The best part (besides the food) was when we played the toilet paper dress game. Lam and I picked the teams and made all the guys have to be the bride.
Pictures will follow soon. It was absolutely classic!
It made me realize just how lucky I am to have such wonderful people in my life.
