family ties

great food, wine, and family

I was not really looking forward to my birthday this year. Maybe it was the thought of turning 29, maybe it was that I have about a billion other things on my mind, but in any case I didn't have any grand expectations.

pro-active and stuff

as i become more of a family man, i'm starting to realize that i care a lot more about issues i didn't care about before: career, ecology, politics, crime. a particular issue was pushed to the forefront this morning. as i was pulling into traffic on a green, some fool runs a red light. i don't mean he was in the intersection when the lights changed.

bitter sweet - and I am not talking about the chocolate fountain

The engagement party was awesome! The food was good but the company was even better.

Going home always makes me realize how important family is, but it also makes me realize that I live a healthier lifestyle in California. I think I had a total of three pieces of fruit the entire time I was home and about a pound of ham salad. mmmm....ham salad. That is a necessary food group right?
